Is Your Sleep FUBAR?

If sleep is elusive or excessive right now, don't worry! Sleep patterns are commonly interrupted around the times of year when we move the clock forward or back.

Think of this time as a gift;

  • write down everything that's bugging you and dispose of it,
  • practice meditation,
  • read some pages of a lovely novel encased in a real book,
  • change your pillowcase,
  • enjoy some aromatherapy oil,
  • count your breaths backward from 100,
  • sing happy birthday to yourself,
  • create a Before Bed Blessing, Sleep Ceremony, or Relaxing Routine,
  • maybe even brush your hair for 100 strokes!

The good news is any of these practices pave the way for a healthier sleep.

Is something REALLY bugging you though? Perhaps you're toying with some ideas. Writing is a great way to capture the gold and flush the mold.

Are you Sharing or Shadowing Your Skills, Gifts, and Talents?

Here are a few reasons to share not shadow. Adapted from my friend Kaye Lean Ramos.
1. Other People Benefit
Humans coexist with one another. In a symbiotic relationship, one of the ideal relationships is Commensalism where the two individuals benefit from each other. Our gifts or talents are purposely created not just for ourselves but to help those around us.
We benefit from other people’s talents. We benefit from Jobs’ Apple creations, Edison’s light bulb, Ford’s automotive ideas or our mom’s cooking, Grandma's stories. Almost everyone around us contributes to our welfare in one way or another. 
Now the interesting question is: How do other people benefit from YOUR gifts or talents?

Dr. Landis is returning home after an all-nighter in freezing temps. She’d spent the night blood-testing, peering into her field microscope, and tending to a neighbors’ dairy-herd. They were continuing to die of an unknown disease, one by one.

Through the open farmhouse door, she trod upon a crazy parade of muddy raccoon footprints. ”Hey, guys. Guys?" They probably can't hear me, she thinks. Fox News is on the TV screen at full volume. My kids watching the news? The back of her neck prickles. Alarm registers in all of her body response systems as she realizes it's a school day, early morning, her family should be here, but they are not.

How to Have More of What You Love in Your Life Every Day


What if there was one thing you could do every day to Love Your Life? Who wouldn't like to feel a little happier?

What percentage of your day, would you say, is filled with joy, passion, appreciation, zest, and/or presence? What do you NOTICE and APPRECIATE, vs drifting your days through on auto-pilot?

What do you say you Love and what do you DO that you Love?

Perhaps you used to enjoy writing but you've "got away from it somehow." Did you know that writing is a gateway into loving the life you are living RIGHT NOW, rather than some date in the future that may or may not unfold?
